Dear Members, Sponsors, Speakers and Friends of GBTA, Silicon Valley Chapter:

As representatives of the Global Travel industry and one of the largest chapters of the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), we recognize it is our obligation to always exemplify professionalism, fairness, integrity, and inclusion within our organization.

The recent allegations of misconduct made against the GBTA executive leadership, including GBTA CEO, Scott Solombrino, are extremely troubling. These allegations include reports of misogyny, sexism, racism and bullying within the organization. These serious allegations have no place in our parent organization and we applaud the GBTA Board engaging an unbiased, third party to investigate the charges and report their findings.

In light of these developments, We, the leadership of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Global Business Travel Association feel it is imperative to reiterate our commitment to the core values that have made us one of the largest, most diverse, and innovative Chapters of the world’s premier business travel organization.

  • Promoting members’ growth through education, community service, and involvement
  • Providing a forum for the constructive exchange of information and ideas
  • Enhancing the professional development of all members and strengthening their value to their company
  • Representing a diverse group of travel executives committed to advancing the local, regional, and global interests of the corporate travel industry

Rest assured, SVBTA is in dialogue with the GBTA Chapter President’s Council (CPC) and will keep our members informed of any relevant developments.

In summary, even as our industry is facing some of the most difficult challenges ever encountered, SVBTA is more dedicated than ever to provide you value through education, open forums, and networking opportunities, which are maintained with the highest ethical standards and focus of our chapter’s volunteers.

We stand with you and are here to provide support wherever you need it.
